Another difference when it comes to online agents and high street agents is how the fees are paid. An online agent will request fees upfront. This means that if you end up switching to a traditional estate agent you will lose this money you have paid, even if there were no viewings of your home.

Meanwhile, your local estate agent will charge a commission fee. This will be a percentage of the final sale price of the property. A good estate agent will try and get as much for your home as possible as their commission is based on the price your home is sold for.
